Films
This month I only watched one film, which happened to be Mallrats (1995) and I loved it. It has overall such a strange unique vibe, almost liminal I would say! I found it quite funny and couldn't stop smiling :) I would definitely rewatch it someday. Jason Lee really stood out and has some great lines. Books
Cleopatra and Frankenstein by Coco Mellors: I put off reading this for a long time because I had the feeling it would hit me really hard, as I had been in a deeply unsatisfying relationship and thought reading it would not be a good idea. Well, it did not hit hard, as it is a different flavour of dysfunctional romantic relationship that I expected. There's not much to the story, but it's still easy to get lost in the flow thanks to the writing, that I found simple and well-crafted. I actually liked the chapters from the side-characters the best, as I found the main characters somewhat underdeveloped. I still had a fine time and am glad I read it, but I would not recommend it as I don't feel I got anything out of it.
Grave Peril by Jim Butcher (audiobook): this volume was alright, much better than the previous one, but still nothing mind-blowing. It feels like you're spending 80% of the time on useless descriptions with only 20% of action... I'm considering giving the series 1 or 2 more tries with the next books and if I still feel disappointed, I shall drop it.

I finished the White Vault (I believe season 4 and 5), and god... this was terrible. The voice acting wasn't as bad as in season 3 but still not as good as in season 1&2. In any case, the plot was so infuriating. Beyond season 1&2 there's literally no point to listening to it, the resolution is so stupid I'm never going to interact with what the writer has ever written again. We spend 5 seasons developing different characters, and the ending just ties things off with the character that we NEVER hear about, like how is this supposed to be satisfying. Also, beyond that, there is no resolution. We have some kind of explanation as to the context of things, but that's it. I don't mind not having answers (hence why stopping at season 2 would have been fine), but building towards something, for nothing, is a complete waste of time.
Games
I picked up Dragon Age Inquisition again, still really liking it, I'm reaching the end even with all of the side-quests. The teaser for DA4 was really exciting!
I also started playing Pentiment, and I left June at about the start of Act 3. I enjoyed it, but I'm not finding it as incredible as I've heard other people make it out to be.
Played some Powerwash Simulator while listening to the Dresden Files audiobook.
At the very end of June I picked up Fable (i) and really liked it, it gave me Wizard101 vibes, I don't think I've ever played a game that old before! The controls are quite clunky, but I was honestly impressed with the voice acting and all of the (voiced) tidbits from the NPCs! The humour is unexpected, and I'm actually receptive to it. The combat is relatively okay, thank god!
