Plum compote

Ingredients:

  • plums (any amount)
  • water (a splash)
  • (optional: sugar)

 

  • Step 1: Wash your plums, cut them in quarters, or smaller if you're bothered, or in half if you like a bit more texture  
  • Step 2: Put them in your pot or pan, whichever is easiest to clean and or big enough to hold the plums  
  • Step 3: Put a splash of water in the pan (or pot) - that is if using tap water, opening it and closing it right away.  
  • Step 4: Optional: Give one shake of whatever sugar (or sugar replacement) container you got if you want as there's obviously already sugar in the plums  
  • Step 5: Mix, put a lid on, turn the heat to max for a couple minutes - until the stuff is fuming and bubbling
    • then turn the heat down and leave to simmer (with the lid on) for like 10mn, until you can't see the chunks anymore basically.
    • then cut the heat, and that's it, you're done.
    • Store in the fridge once cooled down.

How to use: I like to eat it like that, but you can add it to some yogurt as well. Or do whatever.
